The Story of Co. Roscommon
At the heart of Connacht, Roscommon, Ros Comáin, holds Rathcroghan, the ancient royal capital of the province and legendary seat of Queen Medb. This was the homeland of the O’Conor kings of Connacht, who produced Ireland’s last High Kings; a county where myth and kingship are written deep into the land.
