The Story of Co. Waterford

Home to Ireland’s oldest city, Waterford, Port Láirge, was founded by Vikings in 914 and still guards their legacy in Reginald’s Tower on the quay. At Ardmore, a round tower and ruined cathedral mark where St Declan is said to have brought Christianity even before St Patrick; deep roots for a county on the sunny southeast coast.
