These enclosures were the homes and farmyards of farming families, places where livestock were brought inside the banks at night, where daily rural life was conducted over generations. The conjunction of a ringfort and a booley-derived place name in the same small townland in Mayo hints at a landscape that was actively farmed and seasonally occupied for a very long time.

Beyond its presence in Boleyboy and its classification as a rath, the specific details of this particular site, its dimensions, its condition, whether it retains a single bank or multiple, what the interior looks like today, remain for now outside what can be confirmed.
