The only way to observe it at all is from the sky, specifically through satellite imagery, where a subtriangular outline emerges as a cropmark on a steep south-facing slope. Cropmarks appear when buried features such as ditches or drainage channels affect the growth of vegetation above them, causing differences in colour or height that become legible from altitude but are invisible at ground level. This one, roughly 35 metres east to west and 25 metres north to south, would be easy to miss even on satellite imagery without knowing where to look.

The enclosure was first identified by Simon Dowling, who spotted it on Google Earth imagery captured on 14 July 2018. What defines it on the ground, or rather beneath it, appears to be a series of fosses or drains, the slight depressions of which have left their signature in the crop growth above. At the southern angle of the triangle there is what may be an entrance gap, approximately four metres wide, though the cropmark evidence alone makes certainty difficult. Whether the enclosure is prehistoric, early medieval, or of some later agricultural origin is not yet known. Its subtriangular shape is somewhat unusual; most enclosures of early Irish settlement tend toward circular or oval forms, which makes this one a little harder to place without further investigation.
