The most common male names were John (11), James, Michael, Patrick and Thomas; the same five names that topped the list nationally. For women it was Mary (9), followed by Margaret, Jane, Annie and Catherine.

The most common occupation among Conners was farmer, 11.1% of them (16 people). Next came scholar / student (9%), farm labourer (8.3%), domestic servant (6.9%) and general labourer (3.5%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 19.4% of all Conners, followed by domestic service, general labourers and textiles & clothing.

Most Conners, 51.4%, were Roman Catholic. The remainder were mostly Anglican (36.1%) and Presbyterian (11.8%).
