Bear in mind these figures include young children; the census itself only counted people aged nine and over when calculating illiteracy, on the grounds that it was unfair to label a child illiterate before they'd had a chance to learn.

The most common male names were Patrick (10), Michael, John, James and William. For women it was Mary (7), followed by Ellen, Bridget, Margaret and Catherine.

The most common occupation among Noons was farmer, 23.1% of them (28 people). Next came scholar / student (18.2%), domestic servant (3.3%), farm labourer (2.5%) and gardener (2.5%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 28.1% of all Noons, followed by domestic service, textiles & clothing and manufacturing & trades.
What religion is Noon?
Noons were overwhelmingly Roman Catholic, 95% of them. The remainder were mostly Anglican (1.7%).
