Finley literacy in 1911

Women came out slightly ahead, 78.7% reading and writing against 75.5% of men. Bear in mind these figures include young children; the census itself only counted people aged nine and over when calculating illiteracy, on the grounds that it was unfair to label a child illiterate before they'd had a chance to learn.

Among the rest, the most common occupations were farmer (9.6%), domestic servant (6.1%), farm labourer (6.1%) and general labourer (4.3%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 16.5% of all Finleys, followed by domestic service, general labourers and textiles & clothing.
What religion is Finley?
Most Finleys, 66.1%, were Roman Catholic. The remainder were mostly Presbyterian (17.4%), Anglican (14.8%) and Methodist (0.9%).
