Among the rest, the most common occupations were carter / driver / groom (8.1%), domestic servant (8.1%), farmer (6.5%) and farm labourer (3.2%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 9.7% of all Bernies, followed by domestic service, transport and building & construction.

Bernies were predominantly Roman Catholic (82.3%). The remainder were mostly Anglican (16.1%).
