The most common male names were William John (3), John, Joseph, Robert and Thomas. For women it was Annie (2), followed by Eliza, Elizabeth, Margaret and Anna Maria.

The most common entry on a Jeffs's census form was "Scholar"; 13.5% (7) were children at school. Among the rest, the most common occupations were farmer (9.6%), teacher (7.7%), clerk / office worker (3.8%) and general labourer (3.8%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 11.5% of all Jeffses, followed by professional, domestic service and building & construction.
What religion is Jeffs?
Jeffses were overwhelmingly Anglican, 90.4% of them. The remainder were mostly Methodist (5.8%) and Roman Catholic (3.8%).
