Hut site, Termons, Co. Kerry

At Termons on the Iveragh Peninsula in County Kerry, a set of circular foundations sits folded into the southern wall of a larger enclosure, almost absorbed by it.

The hut is modest in scale, just 3.35 metres across internally, and its survival depends partly on the fact that its builders, or someone who came after them, incorporated it into the boundary of a neighbouring enclosure rather than leaving it to stand alone.
