It appears on the archaeological map of Ireland, it has been assigned a monument record, and yet the particulars of who is buried there, how old the site might be, or what physical form it takes have not made it into the public domain. That absence is itself a kind of information. Ireland has thousands of burial grounds ranging from early medieval enclosures to post-Famine plots, and a good number of them survive in quiet corners of the landscape with little more than a few stones and local memory to mark them out. This one, at present, offers even less than that.
