What remains is the ghost of an enclosure, roughly thirty-five to thirty-nine metres across, its outline detectable less by any standing structure than by a low scarp, at most sixty centimetres high, that traces the interior edge. On the northern side, a short surviving inner lip hints that a proper bank once stood here, the kind of earthen boundary familiar from ringforts scattered across early medieval Ireland.

The 1842 Ordnance Survey six-inch map recorded it as a roughly oval field, with linear sides to the south-west, north-west and north, opening southward onto what was already a farm laneway. By that point the enclosure had clearly been levelled and put to agricultural use, its form preserved in the field boundaries rather than in any upstanding earthwork. The fact that the western half of the interior remains noticeably wetter than the surrounding pasture suggests that whatever drainage or disturbance the original bank provided has been lost unevenly, leaving a soggy signature in the soil. These kinds of enclosures are easy to overlook precisely because they have been overlaid by centuries of ordinary farming, the laneway bisecting this one being a particularly literal example of one era of land use cutting through another.
