The southernmost of these is a modest stone slab measuring roughly 0.9 metres in length and 0.47 metres across, its surface carrying no inscription, no cross, no ornament of any kind. That plainness is itself worth pausing over. At a site layered with carved stonework and early Christian remains, these bare slabs mark out a corner of the graveyard that has attracted relatively little attention compared to its more elaborate neighbours.

When the archaeologist R.A.S. Macalister surveyed and documented the graveyard in 1916 and 1917, only one of the four slabs, the one immediately to the north of this example, made it onto his published plan. The remaining three, including this southernmost stone, were either overlooked or deemed insufficiently distinctive to record individually. Macalister was a prolific documenter of early Irish inscribed stones and monuments, so the omission is quietly telling. The slab sits 7.7 metres from the southern wall of the enclosure and just 0.9 metres from the western wall, close enough to the perimeter to suggest it occupies a marginal position within the graveyard's internal geography. Whether that marginality once carried social or spiritual meaning is something the stone itself does not reveal.
