The ruins at Annagh occupy the western quadrant of an active graveyard, a quiet but telling arrangement in which the medieval and the more recent share the same enclosed ground, each in their own portion of it.

The church remains are recorded under the site reference LI006-015001-, and their medieval origins place them within a long tradition of ecclesiastical settlement across this part of Limerick. The graveyard itself measures approximately 26 metres north to south and 45 metres east to west, a modest rectangle that has been bounded at some point after 1700 by a stone enclosure wall. That wall, and the entrance gate set into its eastern side, represent the most recent layer of organisation imposed on a site that was already old when they were built.
