The building is gone entirely, leaving only the burial plots as evidence that something more substantial was once here. It is the kind of quiet absence that rewards a careful look, where the arrangement of stones tells you that the landscape has been rearranged around a structure that no longer exists.

The graveyard itself is sub-rectangular in plan, measuring roughly 36 metres north to south and 52 metres east to west, enclosed by a roughly coursed mortared stone wall that rises to about 1.2 metres on the interior and 1.5 metres on the exterior. The earliest surviving headstone is dated 1804, though the Church of Ireland parish church that once occupied part of the site dates to the early eighteenth century. That church, recorded under the reference LI012-036001-, has since disappeared, and the patch of ground it occupied was later given over to burials, accounting for the cluster of 1930s stones in that area. A new graveyard adjoins the site to the south, making this a place where several distinct phases of use sit alongside one another. The survey was compiled by Denis Power and uploaded in August 2011.

The graveyard is approached from the road to the east along a short avenue, passing through a wrought iron entrance gate set between stone piers. It is a straightforward enough site to locate, and there are no particular seasonal complications to the visit. Once inside, it is worth taking time to read the distribution of the headstones rather than simply the inscriptions. The contrast between the earlier nineteenth-century stones and the 1930s cluster near the former church footprint is subtle but legible once you know what you are looking at.
