In a field beside the Mannin River in County Mayo, there is, officially, a mound.
Or rather, there was one, or someone once believed there to be one. The site sits in pasture along the southern bank of the river, but if you went looking for it today, you would find nothing. No rise in the ground, no depression, no surface feature of any kind.
