Quarry, Pulleen, Co. Cork

Mining
At Pulleen in County Cork there is a place that barely qualifies as a place at all, at least in the archaeological sense.
It was recorded as a quarry in two successive heritage surveys, first in 1988 and again in 1998, yet the evidence gathered was never strong enough to confirm that anything of genuine archaeological significance actually existed there. It occupies a curious middle ground: noted, catalogued, named, and then quietly set aside.
