There is a particular category of Irish archaeological site that exists more as an idea than a presence: the enclosure you cannot see.
In a field of level pasture at Coollick in County Kerry, somewhere along the break of a south-west-facing slope, lies what may be a rath, a type of circular earthen enclosure built during the early medieval period, typically serving as a farmstead or place of status. Nothing marks it out to the eye. Stand in the field and you would have no reason to stop walking.
