Bear in mind these figures include young children; the census itself only counted people aged nine and over when calculating illiteracy, on the grounds that it was unfair to label a child illiterate before they'd had a chance to learn.

The most common male names were Thomas (4), Benjamin, Samuel, Henry Francis and Joseph. For women it was Elizabeth (4), followed by Margaret, Julia, Mary and Sarah.

The most common occupation among Cases was farmer, 15% of them (9 people). Next came scholar / student (10%), farm labourer (3.3%), general labourer (3.3%) and maid (3.3%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 18.3% of all Cases, followed by domestic service, general labourers and manufacturing & trades.
What religion is Case?
Most Cases, 55%, were Anglican. The remainder were mostly Roman Catholic (41.7%), Congregationalist (1.7%) and Presbyterian (1.7%).
