Grouped by sector, manufacturing & trades accounted for 8.2% of all Clays, followed by general labourers, domestic service and retail & commerce.
What religion is Clay?
Most Clays, 56.2%, were Roman Catholic. The remainder were mostly Anglican (24.7%), Presbyterian (12.3%) and Plymouth Brethren (5.5%).
