Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 15.8% of all Corrys, followed by textiles & clothing, retail & commerce and general labourers.

Most Corrys, 58.1%, were Roman Catholic. The remainder were mostly Presbyterian (21.6%), Anglican (15.1%), Methodist (2.4%) and Unitarian (1.1%).
