The 1911 Census recorded 313 people named Creamer in Ireland; roughly one in every 14,000 people carried the name. The name was split fairly evenly between men and women: 155 men and 158 women.

The Creamers were heavily concentrated in Leitrim, home to 51.1% of them (160 people). Next came Limerick (43), Cork (28), Cavan (23) and Tipperary (22).

Women came out slightly ahead, 72.9% reading and writing against 66.2% of men. Bear in mind these figures include young children; the census itself only counted people aged nine and over when calculating illiteracy, on the grounds that it was unfair to label a child illiterate before they'd had a chance to learn.

The most common male names were Patrick (30), John, Thomas, James and Michael; the same five names that topped the list nationally. For women it was Bridget (29), followed by Mary, Margaret, Ellen and Anne.

The most common occupation among Creamers was farmer, 16.3% of them (51 people). Next came scholar / student (15%), general labourer (9.3%), farm labourer (5.1%) and domestic servant (4.5%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 22.4% of all Creamers, followed by general labourers, domestic service and no occupation / dependent.
