The Forgraves were heavily concentrated in Derry, home to 75.5% of them (40 people). Next came Antrim (11) and Monaghan (2).

The average Forgrave in 1911 was 30.1 years old, 34.5 for men and 23.3 for women; almost exactly in line with the national averages of 29.6 for men and 30.5 for women. That low figure reflects just how many children there were in Edwardian Ireland, along with high infant mortality and the limits of public health at the time. For comparison, average life expectancy in Ireland today is around 83.
Forgrave literacy in 1911
Of the Forgraves whose literacy was recorded, 83% could both read and write, 1.9% could read but not write, and 15.1% could do neither. Women came out slightly ahead, 95.2% reading and writing against 75% of men. Bear in mind these figures include young children; the census itself only counted people aged nine and over when calculating illiteracy, on the grounds that it was unfair to label a child illiterate before they'd had a chance to learn.

The most common male names were Thomas (6), William, John, James and James Thomas. For women it was Annie (2), followed by Elizabeth, Jeannie, Kathleen Mary and Latitia.
Forgrave occupations in 1911
The most common entry on a Forgrave's census form was "Scholar"; 22.6% (12) were children at school. Among the rest, the most common occupations were farmer (18.9%), farm labourer (11.3%), domestic servant (9.4%) and general labourer (3.8%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 30.2% of all Forgraves, followed by domestic service, general labourers and professional.
What religion is Forgrave?
Forgraves were predominantly Presbyterian (88.7%). The remainder were mostly Anglican (11.3%).
