The 1911 Census recorded 449 people named Fraser in Ireland; roughly one in every 9,800 people carried the name. The name was split fairly evenly between men and women: 208 men and 238 women. (A small number, 3, had no sex recorded.)

Antrim was Fraser country: 31.2% of them (140 people) lived there in 1911. Next came Dublin (88), Down (62), Cork (21) and Derry (20).

The average Fraser in 1911 was 29.4 years old, 28.7 for men and 30.1 for women; almost exactly in line with the national averages of 29.6 for men and 30.5 for women. That low figure reflects just how many children there were in Edwardian Ireland, along with high infant mortality and the limits of public health at the time. For comparison, average life expectancy in Ireland today is around 83.
Fraser literacy in 1911
Of the Frasers whose literacy was recorded, 85.1% could both read and write, 2.5% could read but not write, and 12.4% could do neither. The figures were much the same for men and women. Bear in mind these figures include young children; the census itself only counted people aged nine and over when calculating illiteracy, on the grounds that it was unfair to label a child illiterate before they'd had a chance to learn.

The most common male names were John (20), James, William, Robert and Thomas. For women it was Mary (11), followed by Elizabeth, Jane, Margaret and Annie.

The most common entry on a Fraser's census form was "Scholar"; 16.7% (75) were children at school. Among the rest, the most common occupations were farmer (7.8%), shopkeeper / shop assistant / dealer (4%), metal worker / engineer (3.3%) and general labourer (2.9%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 10.5% of all Frasers, followed by domestic service, textiles & clothing and retail & commerce.
What religion is Fraser?
The largest religious group among Frasers was Presbyterian, at 39.2%. The remainder were mostly Anglican (37.6%), Roman Catholic (12%), Methodist (4.9%) and Plymouth Brethren (1.1%).
