Among the rest, the most common occupations were general labourer (17.5%), domestic servant (7.9%), farm labourer (7.9%) and seamstress (6.3%). Grouped by sector, general labourers accounted for 17.5% of all Gilloways, followed by agriculture, domestic service and retail & commerce.

Most Gilloways, 65.1%, were Roman Catholic. The remainder were mostly Presbyterian (34.9%).
