Among the rest, the most common occupations were farmer (16.4%), farm labourer (4.1%), shopkeeper / shop assistant / dealer (4.1%) and general labourer (2.7%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 20.5% of all Handcocks, followed by retail & commerce, building & construction and general labourers.
What religion is Handcock?
Handcocks were predominantly Anglican (71.2%). The remainder were mostly Presbyterian (13.7%), Roman Catholic (11%) and Non-Conformist (4.1%).
