The most common occupation among Henerys was farmer, 17.7% of them (35 people). Next came scholar / student (14.6%), farm labourer (8.6%), general labourer (5.1%) and domestic servant (4.5%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 26.8% of all Henerys, followed by domestic service, general labourers and textiles & clothing.

Most Henerys, 51.5%, were Roman Catholic. The remainder were mostly Presbyterian (34.8%), Anglican (7.1%), Plymouth Brethren (2.5%) and Unitarian (0.5%).
