Among the rest, the most common occupations were textile worker (5.8%), farm labourer (5.3%), general labourer (2.9%) and farmer (2.3%). Grouped by sector, textiles & clothing accounted for 8.8% of all McComishes, followed by agriculture, retail & commerce and building & construction.

The largest religious group among McComishes was Roman Catholic, at 45.6%. The remainder were mostly Anglican (40.4%), Presbyterian (12.9%) and Baptist (0.6%).
