Next came scholar / student (16.7%), shopkeeper / shop assistant / dealer (4.5%), textile worker (4.5%) and general labourer (3.5%). McCullys were predominantly Presbyterian (79.2%). The remainder were mostly Anglican (5.8%), Roman Catholic (4.5%), Congregationalist (2.9%) and Plymouth Brethren (2.9%).
