The most common male names were James (11), John, Patrick, Michael and Thomas; the same five names that topped the list nationally. For women it was Mary (12), followed by Margaret, Ellen, Bridget and Anne.

The most common entry on a Mythen's census form was "Scholar"; 15% (19) were children at school. Among the rest, the most common occupations were general labourer (12.6%), farmer (11.8%), farm labourer (9.4%) and domestic servant (4.7%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 21.3% of all Mythens, followed by general labourers, domestic service and no occupation / dependent.
