Among the rest, the most common occupations were farmer (10.5%), textile worker (4.7%), general labourer (4.4%) and carter / driver / groom (1.6%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 13% of all Vances, followed by textiles & clothing, general labourers and transport.
What religion is Vance?
The largest religious group among Vances was Presbyterian, at 43.6%. The remainder were mostly Anglican (35.6%), Methodist (8.2%), Roman Catholic (7.8%) and Plymouth Brethren (1.6%).
