Geraghty literacy in 1911

Among the rest, the most common occupations were farmer (19%), general labourer (3.7%), farm labourer (3.4%) and domestic servant (2.2%). Grouped by sector, agriculture accounted for 22.9% of all Geraghtys, followed by domestic service, general labourers and textiles & clothing.

Geraghtys were overwhelmingly Roman Catholic, 98.6% of them. The remainder were mostly Anglican (0.4%).
