Burial Grounds
In a pasture on a north-facing slope in Clashduff, County Cork, a small triangle of raised ground holds the remains of a burial place that most people walking nearby would likely mistake for a natural hummock.
The plot measures no more than fifteen metres at its longest and ten metres at its widest, and sits roughly half a metre above the surrounding land, that modest elevation enough to set it apart from the field around it. Inside, the vegetation has been left largely to its own devices, though some grave markers are still visible beneath the growth.
