The graveyard at Corcon, in the townland of Gooreen in County Galway, appears in the archaeological record almost by accident, mentioned only in passing within the inventory description of a nearby church site, and never properly cross-referenced as a place in its own right. It exists, in the official literature, as a footnote to something else.
