What survives is just enough to read: a levelled bank along the north-west side, still around 3.2 metres wide in overall spread though only half a metre at its crest, with the remaining three sides reduced to little more than a scarp, a low earthen step in the ground surface no more than 25 centimetres high in places. The interior of the enclosure, measuring roughly 28 metres north-west to south-east and 12 metres across, follows the natural tilt of the hillside downward toward the south-east.

Enclosures of this kind, defined by an earthen bank and sometimes a ditch, appear throughout the Irish landscape in considerable variety. Some are early medieval in origin, used as farmsteads or to pen livestock; others relate to later agricultural activity, field organisation, or settlement patterns whose precise dates are now difficult to establish without excavation. What makes this example quietly interesting is its setting within a cluster: two further rectangular enclosures lie within 10 to 30 metres to the south-west, suggesting that whatever activity once took place here was not isolated but part of a broader arrangement of space on this slope. The relationship between the three enclosures, whether contemporary or successive, remains unresolved.
